Delhi Metro Update: DMRC announces revised times for Diwali 2022, check time of last train here

Delhi Metro has announced train times for services on the occasion of Diwali on October 24, 2022. DMRC has announced that the last metro services will start at 10 p.m. Monday from the terminal station of the metro lines. However, the train services will operate normally on Diwali for the rest of the day and will follow the route start time on all lines. It is to be noted that on such special occasions Delhi Metro adapts the train schedules according to the needs of the passenger and the organization. The organization did something similar on the occasion of India vs South Africa in Delhi.

Sharing the update on Twitter Delhi Metro said: “Due to the Diwali festival, the last metro train service will start on October 24, 2022 (Monday) at 10:00 PM (2200 hours) from the terminal stations of all metro lines. Metro train services will the rest of the day on Diwali will run as usual from normal start times on all lines.”

To assist spectators in reaching the Ferozshah Kotla Ground for a One-Day International (ODI) cricket match today, Delhi Metro operated additional train journeys at the time by extending the final timing on all lines by approximately 30 to 45 minutes except the Airport Express line. The stadium is adjacent to Delhi Gate and ITO metro stations on the Violet Line connecting Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh stations.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation took to Twitter to share the news. “#DelhiMetro has made minor changes to the latest train times to facilitate spectators during the one-day international cricket match between India and South Africa on October 11, 2022 (Tuesday) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Ferozshah Kotla Ground, New Delhi. Best wishes to India te team,” read DMRC’s tweet.
