Did Elon Musk Talk To Putin Before Tweeting The Peace Plan For Ukraine? Reports say yes


Tesla chief Elon Musk spoke directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin before tweeting a proposal to end the war in Ukraine, reports claimed. Ukraine vehemently rejected the billionaire’s “peace deal” that would have permanently ceded the country’s territory to Russia.

Eurasia group head Ian Bremmer said in an email to subscribers that Elon Musk had told him Vladimir Putin was “willing to negotiate” provided Crimea stayed with Moscow.

If Ukraine accepted some form of permanent neutrality and Russia’s annexation of four regions — Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya — Russia would be ready to end the invasion, Putin told Elon Musk, according to the mailout.

“These goals will be achieved no matter what,” Elon Musk told Ian Bremmer that Putin said this, adding that “everything had to be done to prevent that outcome” — referring to a nuclear strike in case Ukraine invaded Crimea .

Elon Musk Also told Ian Bremmer that he had rejected a request from Ukraine to activate Starlink in Crimea, Shame reported.

Last week, Elon Musk tweeted out a peace plan and Twitter poll amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, suggesting that referendums in the annexed territories labeled as fake votes by Ukraine and the West should be redone.

The tweet infuriated Ukrainians and President Volodymyr Zelensky responded with his own poll. “Which @elonmusk do you like better?” Zelensky tweeted with two replies: one supporting Ukraine or Russia.

Russia, on the other hand, appreciated Elon Musk’s “positive” proposal to end the war.
