Fans Troll BCCI As Washington Replaces Sundar Deepak Chahar For SA ODIs

India vs South Africa ODIs: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday named 23-year-old Washington Sundar to replace Deepak Chahar in the Indian team for the remaining two One-Day International matches against South Africa. Proteas is already one for in the series of three games. An in-form bowler like Deepak Chahar who is ruled out of the must-win draw comes as a big blow to the Men in Blue. Another reason Chahar’s injury is very significant is because he was considered the frontrunner for replacing the injured Jasprit Bumrah in India’s World Cup T20 plow.

Meanwhile, BCCI’s decision to name Washington Sundar as Chahar’s replacement was not liked by some fans on Twitter for trolling the top board.

Chahar had a stiff back after the third and final T20I against South Africa in Indore and did not appear in India’s Playing XI in the first ODI in Lucknow. He is now going back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will be monitored by the Medical Team there,” read the BCCI statement released Saturday.
