Google asks suppliers to ramp up Google 7 production in 8 minutes: Report


New Delhi: Anticipating increased demand during the holiday season, Google has asked suppliers to produce more than 8 million units for its new Pixel 7 series, media reported Thursday. Nikkei Asia reported that Google is preparing its largest-ever launch order for its latest range of mobile phones, while taking on Apple, Samsung and other rivals.

Google has told several vendors that “it is roughly aiming to double smartphone sales by 2023 compared to this year,” the report said, citing sources. The tech giant has a lot to do when it comes to bolstering its foothold in the global smartphone market and trade analysts have predicted a good reaction to the upcoming Pixel 7 series that comes with some top-of-the-line features.

The leaked renders of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro show that each device will come with an aluminum camera bar and the upgraded Tensor G2 chip. The devices will likely include a 50MP main camera, the same as the Pixel 6. Both upcoming smartphones could come with an upgraded 11MP front camera.

One of the leaked specs revealed that the Pixel 7 Pro could come with a 48MP telephoto lens, according to reports. In terms of price, the prices of new devices are expected to remain the same as those of its predecessors. Google would launch the new Pixel 7 series on Thursday
