Gujarat Polls: PM Modi holds 4 rallies in Kutch, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Rajkot today

Gujarat Polls: A few days before the Gujarat Assembly Polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned to collect a good number of votes in the upcoming elections. He is all set to address four public gatherings in Gujarat on Monday. He will address gatherings in Palitana, Anjar, Gordhanpar and Rajkot.

In an effort to attract voters, the political parties are doing everything in their power and Prime Minister Modi is also actively campaigning for this. “PM Modi is coming again and we expect big gatherings and people love to see and listen to him. We expect to win all the seats in Rajkot district,” Rajkot BJP President Kamlesh Mirani told ANI.

Prime Minister Modi lashed out at the congress and “like-minded parties” on terrorism on Sunday, saying the party is “going soft on terrorism to save its vote bank.”

Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Minister of Assam will also address the meetings. Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel, union ministers Smriti Irani and Purusottam Rupala along with many other senior BJP leaders are likely to go to public rallies and roadshows to win some love from the masses.

However, the opposition party is also making an effort, so Congress Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge will address a press conference in Ahmedabad today. In addition, Senior Congress Leader and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot will be campaigning for the party.

Gujarat Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in two phases on December 1 and December 5. The results will be announced on December 8. BJP had secured 99 seats out of a total of 182 seats in the 2017 Gujarat elections. PM Modi was Gujarat’s longest-serving CM from 2001 to 2014. However, with Arvind Kejriwal leading AAP in the run-up, the Saffron Party will have a tough electoral challenge.
