‘Had bad feelings’: Chelsea star reacts after leaked video criticizing Mikel Arteta goes viral

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up on his sensational comments about Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after a leaked video from the Chelsea star became the talk of the town. Former Arsenal forward Aubameyang recently took a dip in Gunners manager Mikel Arteta after his sensational move to FC Barcelona last season. Aubameyang, who now plays for Chelsea, made a surprise move to the Nou Camp after his contract with Arsenal was terminated in the January transfer window.

Aubameyang was also stripped of his captaincy by Arteta last season for lack of commitment. Aubameyang launched a scathing attack on the Gunners boss after his departure from Arsenal. He beat up Arteta, claiming the Spaniard can’t deal with “big characters” at the club. “Big characters and big players… he can’t handle it. He needs young players who don’t say anything,” Aubameyang said in a viral video.

On Monday, the former Arsenal star clarified his sensational comments about Arteta. “Aware that there is a video that was shot just after I arrived at Barcelona. At that time I still had a lot of bad feelings in me – Arsenal are doing great things this season and I wish all my old boys the best, just not on November 6 Aubameyang wrote.

Aubameyang ended his bittersweet stint at the Camp Nou and returned to the Premier League for the 2022-2023 season during the summer transfer window. Aubameyang was brought in by Chelsea, who reportedly paid Barcelona a fee of €12 million. The former Borussia Dortmund star had signed a two-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang had left Arsenal by mutual agreement. Auba won the Golden Boot in the Premier League in the 2018-2019 season. The former Arsenal striker scored a brace against Chelsea in the 2020 FA Cup final. Aubameyang will soon be reunited with his former team-mates as Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge next month.
