IND vs SA 2nd T20I LIVE: South Opt To Bowl, India Aim For Seal Series


The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue will take on the Proteas at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday. India is already leading 1-0 in a three-game T20 series. In the first T20 against South Africa, Deepak Chahar and Arshdeep Singh crushed the Proteas’ top order, limiting them to 106 runs. Punjab based fast bowler Arshdeep Singh unleashed fire and scalped three crucial wickets for the Men in Blue in the first overs of the game. However, India was dealt a huge blow when Bumrah suffered a back injury and has been banned from the ongoing series. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team. mohd. Siraj replaced the injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remainder of the T20I series against South Africa, the BCCI announced on Friday.

Earlier, just before the first T20 match against South Africa, Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain and was banned from the match in Thiruvananthapuram. Bumrah also missed the Asian Cup due to his back problems and made a comeback in the last two T20Is against Australia. Team India will look to continue their winning run as they have the chance to seal the series by beating the visitors in the second T20I to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.
