Magnitude 6.2 earthquake hits New Ireland Region


A 6.2 on the Richter scale hit the New Ireland region near Papua New Guinea on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

The earthquake was at a depth of 100 km (62.14 miles), EMSC said.
