Maharashtra: Bus crash in Nashik kills 8, injures 15


Nashik: In an unfortunate incident, eight people died and about 15 were injured after a bus hit a container and caught fire in the city of Nashik in Maharashtra early Saturday, October 8. The accident took place in Aurangabad around 5 am. A private bus reportedly hit a container and caught fire within minutes.

Officials said the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. It was not immediately clear whether all the dead and injured were bus passengers.

“We are still trying to determine the exact number of deaths with the doctor’s confirmation,” Nashik police said.
