‘Naveen has been consistent, but we have…’: Haryana Steelers’ Meetu backs veteran to derail ‘Naveen Express’ on PKL 9

Haryana Steelers have suffered their first defeat to Jaipur Pink Panthers and the team is gearing up for another tough challenge in the ongoing edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. The Manpreet Singh-led Haryana will face Dabang Delhi, who has yet to be defeated in the current edition.

Delhi’s successful campaign was led by raider Naveen Kumar, but Haryana is confident to slow down when the two sides join forces at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday. Haryana raider Meetu, who scored 16 points in the clash against Jaipur, shared his thoughts and backed veteran Joginder Narwal to stop ‘Naveen Express’.

“Naveen has been a constant player for Delhi and he has also performed very well this season. But we have Joginder Narwal in our corner, who was with Delhi for a long time and he has a lot of experience playing with Naveen and other players from Delhi . He will be an asset to our squad in the coming game, and he will lead us well for the next game,” the attacker said in an official Steelers press release.

Meetu also discussed extensively what went wrong against Jaipur, which they lost 31-44. “There were a few areas where we struggled and we couldn’t play according to the coach’s plans. But we worked on those shortcomings and now we are confident that we are ready for the next game and will deliver a better performance. ” ‘ said Meetu.

He is confident that Haryana will be the team to stop Delhi’s undefeated streak. “Our aim is to end Delhi’s streak. We have a good squad and there is a great deal of balance in our team. So we are very confident that we will get good results in the game.”
