New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said there was no intention to make Hindi only the national language and threaten the identity of regional languages ​​such as Kannada. That’s what Rahul Gandhi said on Friday while interacting with representatives of many educational institutions and teachers.

“There was a discussion with Rahul Gandhi about the identity of Kannada. He then said that everyone’s native language is important. We respect all languages. Everyone has a right in the constitution,” senior party leader and former minister Priyank Kharge told reporters while he informed them about the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“Therefore, he (Rahul Gandhi) stated clearly that it was not the intention to make Hindi only the national language and threaten the identity of your language (Kannada),” said Kharge, who is also in charge of the state media of Congress. .

He said those who took part in the interaction confirmed that they were not related to the Congress party, but participated in the yatra to save the constitution.

Rajeev Gowda, chairman of AICC Research Department, said most of the participants in the interaction raised the issue of problems in the education sector since the BJP government came to power and the implementation of NEP (National Education Policy).
