‘Not worried about what’s going to happen’ – Rohit Sharma at 2023 Asia Cup


Much has happened since BCCI secretary Jay Shah noted that India will not go to Pakistan for the Asian Cup next year. Post Jay Shah’s comments, the PCB also came out with a statement saying it could affect Pakistan’s participation in the 50-overs ODI World Cup in India.

“The overall impact of such statements could split Asian and international cricket communities, and could affect Pakistan’s visit to India for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup and future ICC events in India in the 2024-2031 cycle,” said PCB in his statement.

Speaking to the press on Saturday, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said his team is gearing up for the World Cup T20.

“My opinion is that we should focus on this World Cup because it is important to us. We are not worried about what will happen later. It makes no sense to think about it, the BCCI will make decisions about that. tomorrow’s game,” said Rohit.

The Men in Blue led by Rohit Sharma will face Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. India will then play against the Netherlands on October 27.
