Pak Bride, Indian Groom Get Married Online With All Rituals After Visa Problems

Love knows no boundaries! The statement seems to be more relevant today than it ever was. In yet another such incident justifying the quote, a Pakistani bride and an Indian groom tied the knot in a virtual marriage ceremony, reported the news agency IANS. The groom belongs to the state of Rajasthan and he performed all the rituals of Nikah virtually. According to IANS, a Qazi solemnised the marriage and the bride present in Karachi said: “Qabool Hai”. The online Nikah took place in Jodhpur on Wednesday. The groom, Arbaaz, got married to a Pakistani woman, Ameena.

The reason for the Nikah to be performed online is the visa-related issues that hindered their plan to hold the ceremony in Karachi, IANS added in its report.

Arbaaz is the younger son of contractor Mohammad Afzal, who lives in Jodhpur. The family members of both Arbaaz and Ameena performed rituals through video conference. The agency stated that two big LED screens along with laptops were also installed at the venue.

“The girls there and their families also want to get married in Jodhpur. We also have relatives there. Now, we will prepare for visa. It is convenient for ordinary families like us to go for an online marriage as the expenses are also less. If we apply visa with Nikahnama (marriage certificate) of India then it will be easily available,” Arbaaz’s father, Mohammad Afzal said.

The incident comes at a time when two similar cases are doing rounds on social media across the country. Pakistani woman Seema Haider recently travelled to India to meet her lover, whom she met on PUBG. When the case came to light, UP ATS questioned the duo and specifically asked Seema about having any kind of connection with Pakistani army and intelligence ISI.

In another case, an Indian woman, Anju, travelled to Pak to meet her Facebook friend and later married him. Anju also changed her name to Fatima.
