Terror Outfit Kashmir Freedom Fighters Takes Responsibility For Killing Kashmiri Pandit In J&K’s Shopian

Shopian (J&K): Hours after a civilian was shot and killed in the Shopian district on Saturday, the Kashmir Freedom Fighters terror group has claimed responsibility for the killing, Jammu and Kashmir police said. Puran Krishan Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit, succumbed to his injuries after terrorists opened fire on Chowdari Gund in Shopian on Saturday. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sujit Kumar said, “A Kashmiri Pandit Puran Ji has been murdered. We are working on the case. KFF (Kashmir Freedom Fighters) has claimed responsibility. We won’t say anything for sure, right. Here was a guard present.”

According to eyewitnesses, only one person had it pointed at him and was standing in front of him. “In the initial investigation, eyewitnesses say there was only one person focused on him and standing in front of him. No one else saw anyone else possibly hiding. It will be clear, give us some time,” Kumar said.

DIG Kumar further said: “We are trying to find out the reason, he had gone on his scooter and returned to it. He was not alone, it was 2 people. If the incident took place in the presence of the security guard deployed here, action applies not only to him, but to all officers involved in the area.”

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also condemned the terrorist murder of a Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian district and assured that the perpetrators will be severely punished. “Attack on Puran Krishan Bhat by terrorists in Shopian is a dastardly act of cowardice. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families. I assure the people that the perpetrators and those who aid and incite terrorists will be severely punished,” he said in a tweet.

The injured person was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. “Terrorists shot at a civilian (minority) Puran Krishan Bhat while he was on his way to an orchard in Chowdari Gund, Shopian. He was immediately taken to hospital for treatment where he died,” Jammu Kashmir police said. in progress.
