The New UAE Job Exploration Visa Explained: Eligibility, Fees, Documents Needed

The UAE’s new job exploration visa is one of several entry permits announced as part of the country’s advanced visa system. The new system went into effect on Monday. Previously, job seekers in UAE used the regular tourist visa to look for work. The Job Exploration Visa is a single entry permit designed to attract young talent and skilled professionals to explore job opportunities in UAE. The main feature of the work exploration visa is that it does not require a sponsor or host. The visa is issued for three durations: 60, 90 and 120 days, meaning job seekers have up to four months to explore the UAE job market.

People with a first, second or third skill level can apply for the visa, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. Moreover, recent graduates of the top 500 universities in the world can also apply for the visa. The minimum level of education for the visa is a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

Work Exploration Visa Fee

The cost of the UAE Work Exploration Visa differs depending on the validity a candidate selects. The costs include a deposit of Dh1.025 and insurance.

The 60-day visa costs a total of 1,495 Dh; 90 days one, Dh1.655; and 120-day permit, Dh1,815, Khaleej Times reported.

Documents required for the Work Exploration Visa

Applicants will need their passport copy, color photograph and attested certificates of qualification for the service.
