‘United against abusers of Gujarat, Gujaratis’: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashes out at opposition

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Junagadh, Gujarat on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, urging the people of the state to unite against those who constantly humiliate Gujarat and its citizens. “It is time to show our strength against those whose day begins and ends with abusing Gujarat and its citizens,” Prime Minister Modi said.

Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said in a more light-hearted tone that Diwali and Dhanteras have arrived early and preparations for the New Year celebrations are already underway for the people of Junagadh. In gratitude to all who attended on occasion, the Prime Minister thanked the people for their blessings. The Prime Minister expressed his joy for dedicating and laying the foundations of projects that were worth more than the state budget in ancient times. He said this is all due to the blessings of the people of Gujarat.

The Prime Minister called the area comprising Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar the tourist capital of Gujarat. He said the projects planned today will create huge opportunities for employment and self-employment. “My chest swells with pride today,” the Prime Minister noted, attributing it to the people of Gujarat and their blessings. The Prime Minister stressed that even after he left Gujarat to assume responsibilities in the Center, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s team looked after Gujarat with the same values ​​and traditions. “Today Gujarat is developing at a rapid pace,” said the prime minister.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the improvement of coastal roads and the construction of missing links. In the first phase of this project, a total highway length of more than 270 km will be covered in 13 districts.

Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of two water supply projects and for the construction of a godown complex to store agri products in Junagadh. In Porbandar, Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the holistic development of Shri Krishan Rukshamani Mandir, Madhavpur. He also laid the foundation stone for sewage, water supply and maintenance dredging projects in Porbandar Fishery Harbour. In Gir Somnath, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of two projects, including the development of a fishing port in Madhwad.

The chief minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, MPs, Shri Rajeshbhai Chudasama and Shri Ramesh Dhaduk, and government ministers of Gujarat, Shri Rushikesh Patel and Shri Devabhai Malam, among others, were present on the occasion.
