UP raining: Lucknow schools and higher education institutions will remain closed TODAY

New Delhi: Lucknow schools and higher education institutions will remain closed on Tuesday (October 11), as per an official announcement by Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar. This decision came as a result of continued heavy rainfall in the city among other parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The DM added that higher education institutions will also remain closed on Tuesday following a government order that higher education institutions will remain closed in districts where authorities have declared a holiday due to heavy rains.

The Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Manoj Kumar, has issued an order to the Director of Higher Education and all regional higher education officials, saying that given the possibility of heavy rains in the state, the district magistrates of many districts have vacations. promulgated in educational institutions and such orders issued by the district magistrates would also apply to higher education institutions.

Earlier on Sunday, district authorities in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Etah, Mainpuri and Firozabad had ordered schools to close on Monday.

Several parts of Uttar Pradesh received heavy rain again on Monday.
